The Hyde County Health Department has received funding from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to advance equity in the department's response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, in its practices and policies across the department, and throughout the county as a whole. Our Mission is to promote, protect, and assure the health of Hyde County and surrounding areas by providing public health services essential for a safe and healthy community.
Hyde County Health Department's Strategic Plan is a description of the organization’s goals and objectives that express its values and the needs of the community served. Its purpose is to enable HCHD to establish its priorities, guide planning, and define the strategy that allocates resources and energy to fulfill its mission.
Stevens Amendment is an appropriations provision in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, Public Law 116-260, Division H, Title V. General Provisions, Section 505 that requires grantees of the U.S. Departments of Labor (USDOL), Health and Human Services (HHS), and Education (DOE) to disclose for a grant program the percent of the costs financed with federal funds, the federal dollar amount, and the percentage and dollar amount financed by non-governmental funds.
