Family Planning

The Hyde County Health Department assists individuals and couples in planning and achieving their desired number of children and the spacing and timing of their births. This is done through the use of contraceptive methods and the treatment of involuntary infertility.  

The goals of Family planning are:  

1. 1. it helps couples avoid unintended pregnancies;  

   2. it reduces the spread of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); and  

   3. by addressing the problem of STDs, it helps reduce rates of infertility
